Accessibility Statement

Palace Hotels Hospitality Management is committed to making this website usable by as many people as possible, including visitors with auditory, cognitive, physical, neurological or visual differences, and those facing temporary or situational barriers.

Our approach

We aim to meet the Web Content Accessibility Guidelines (WCAG) 2.1 at Level AA, and we treat accessibility as ongoing work rather than a one-off exercise. As the site grows and its content changes, we continue to test and improve it.

What we have done

The following measures are built into this website:

  • Pages use structured headings and landmark regions, so the content can be navigated with a screen reader.
  • Every form field has a visible, permanently associated label — we do not rely on placeholder text alone.
  • Menus and the enquiry and application forms can be operated entirely by keyboard, including the custom dropdowns, which support arrow keys, Enter and Escape.
  • A clear focus outline is shown on every interactive element as you tab through the page.
  • Meaningful images carry descriptive alternative text; decorative images are hidden from assistive technology.
  • Text and background colours are chosen to meet the WCAG AA contrast ratio.
  • Animations respect the operating system's "reduce motion" setting, and are switched off when that preference is set.
  • The layout reflows down to small screens and remains usable when the page is zoomed.
  • The site works without JavaScript: all content remains readable and forms remain usable.

Known limitations

We are aware of the following, and are working on them:

  • The map on our Contact page is provided by Google. Its accessibility is outside our control — the same address is written out in text beside it, so no information is available only inside the map.
  • Some photographs supplied to us do not yet have full descriptive alternative text. We are addressing this as images are updated.

Third-party content

Links from this site lead to hotel brand and booking websites that we do not control. We cannot guarantee the accessibility of those sites, and encourage you to consult their own accessibility statements.
